Now is the Perfect Time to See the Land Down Under

While the US economy is booming, Australia’s is not so much. This makes the perfect reason to go visit Australia. For every $1 US you receive $1.33 Australian (based on Bloombergs stats). Now that may not sound like much, but if you consider the difference in everyday living between here and there, that’s quite a lot. You see, Australia is known for its high minimum wage, so of course daily items for the Aussies are going to be more expensive, but for us, its not quite the same. We can take our hard earned cash that we have saved for our ”Vacation of a Lifetime” and make it go even further than what we had anticipated in a country like Australia or New Zealand.

Here is a great example – New York city hotels: (Plaza, St Regis, 4 Season Hotels) are around $600 – $700 USD per night. Sydney Hotels next to the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbor Bridge: (Pullman Quay Grand, Shangri La and 4 Seasons hotels) are around $300 USD per night. To get a better perspective on this, both New York and Sydney were voted in the most expensive top 10 cities in the world to live in.

Here are some other comparisons:

  • San Diego zoo tickets – $50 / Steve Irwins Australia zoo – $39 (and you can upgrade to hang out and cuddle a koala)
  • Napa Valley Wine Tour – $125 (doesnt include gratuity or lunch) / Australian Winery Tour $110 (Barossa Valley, does include lunch and gratuities)
  • All day snorkeling adventure in Hawaii $155 / All day snorkeling adventure in the Great Barrier Reef $90

These are just some of the great things that Australia has that compares with what we have in America. I urge you take check out some more things that Australia and New Zealand have to offer.

And why stop there, check out some of the great deals Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia have for getting you to the Land Down Under. Round Trips starting as low at $1,000 per person.
