Frank Kimmel Returning to Team Stange for 2016 Season

Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) series veteran Frank Kimmel will return to the Team Stange No. 46 Ford ride, with major sponsorship from new consumer battery brand JUICE Replay. Kimmel, a native of Clarksville, Indiana is a 10-time ARCA Racing Series Champion, having last won the series in 2013. He dominated ARCA racing in the 2000-2007 period, winning eight consecutive championships during that stretch. His career includes a series-high 80 event wins during his storied 25-year career in ARCA stock car racing.

Kimmel began his racing career in 1990, although he didn’t run a full season until 1992. His first race win came in 1994 at Toledo Speedway, and his most recent win was achieved at Kansas Speedway on October 4, 2013 moving him past series pioneer Iggy Katona on the all-time win list. Kimmel is the all-time ARCA Racing Series money winner, with over $4 million in winnings. His racing resume also includes competition in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup, Nationwide, and Craftsman Truck series, and he is to-date the only ARCA driver to have been invited to participate in the International Race of Champions (IROC-2006).

2016 is labeled Kimmel’s “Encore Tour.” At 53 years of age, he is embarking on his final full-time season on the ARCA tour, and plans to turn the seat over next year to his son, Frank Kimmel Jr., himself a 16-year veteran of Mini-cup and Street Stock racing.
